WHY WE EXIST
In-person connection is disappearing. We built Showdown to bring it back.
The Problem
SOMETHING WAS MISSING
We love going out. Dinner, drinks, all of it. But we kept noticing the same thing: we were sitting together without really doing anything together.
We wanted a place where the table itself is the experience. Where you're laughing, competing, bluffing, reacting. Where your phone stays in your pocket because what's happening at the table is more interesting.
That's why we built Showdown.
The Founders
IT STARTED AT THE TABLE
“I wanted something fun to do with my friends. Something competitive. Something we could actually enjoy on the weekends without it feeling like the same night out on repeat. Dinner was fine, but it wasn't enough. There was no place built around my love of card games.”

They built Showdown to answer both questions at once. A place where anyone can sit down, play the classics and games they've never heard of, laugh at games they remember from childhood, and walk away with a night worth talking about.
The Idea
CARDS FOR EVERYONE
Card games have always been social. But somewhere along the way they became intimidating. People assumed you needed to know the rules, have experience, or be "good" to sit down.
We made that irrelevant. You don't need to know the rules. You don't need to be good. A Game Host sits at your table, explains everything, picks the right games for your group, and keeps the energy going.
We added technology so every chip and card is tracked. Lights, sound effects, and cameras react to gameplay. You get highlight clips sent straight to your phone after. It's not a card room. It's a Cards Lounge.
